Vision and Values webguy
We see lives, community and society transformed through discipleship
in the Word, the presence and the power of God.
We exist to honour God by planting Christ-centred, Spirit empowered and socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation.
We acknowledge Jesus as lord of every area of our lives and endeavor to see Him glorified in all areas of society. We find that more we surrender to Him the more freedom and joy we experience. We follow Him because He is everything we need and desire. He is worth giving all of our lives for.
Acts 2:36Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.
The closer we follow Jesus the more we find our hearts broken for those who don’t know Him. We endeavor to live in such a way that people are drawn to Jesus and we actively engage in evangelizing non church goers. We believe that the gospel is the answer to the problems of our society and that eternal life begins with individuals making a commitment to surrender their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
Our desire is that every Christian grows toward maturity and we believe this happens best through the process of life on life relational interactions between believers. We encourage all members to be a part of a small group that meets during the week. Through these groups we facilitate people building strong foundations for healthy Christian living, growing a vibrant relationship with the Lord and becoming a part of the mission to reach the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We believe that godly families are the building blocks of society. We place a high value on family relationships and provide opportunities for members to learn about Biblical parenting and marriage. We encourage people to manage their time so that their families receive the best of their time and energy.
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him.
We look forward to a time when the institutions of society are led by God-fearing Christ-followers. We encourage all our members to influence their families and work places toward godliness. We actively train and raise up leaders who are familiar with God’s pattern for leadership in the church and in society.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
Because the Bible is the word of God we endeavor to read it daily, believe it and live it at all times. We use it as the judge of truth and teach from it in all our public gatherings.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. Christians are indwelt by Him and empowered by Him to live righteously and reach the lost. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are for today and each member is actively encouraged to move in them.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
We spend time and resources on teaching and empowering all generations. High quality children’s church, youth ministry and university campus ministry are a priority for us. We value both old and young’s contribution to our Church community and fulfillment of our mission.
One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
We believe that God values every ethnic group equally and that the Kingdom of God encompasses every tribe of people. From the Bible we learn that God is glorified when all people groups live in unity, worshipping Him; therefore we endeavor to live in multicultural community where all types of people are welcomed. Our public gatherings and organization reflect this value for multiculturalism through multi-ethnic worship and leadership.
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb… (NKJV)
